Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Thank you @Sans911 ... a lovely saying/quote. 🙏🌹👍

Good to see you. 😄💜  You've been quiet for a few days, and I've been wondering if you were okay. Though I was aware you had a couple of busy days.

Any update on your interview, the publishing of your story which was delayed early last week?

I hope this week is a good one for you. Please take care. Sending a hug for you and tummy rub for Mr A. 💞🐈

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Hi @Sans911  and all reading this.

i had my surgery. I was in hospital 52 hours and home now. Life is looking a lot different. I've had to edit this post but it was a bit of fun to find a representation of how much they took in the surgery. Choose one pic for each side884F2551-DF3C-49EB-B7F8-F8989978EB57.jpeg

It was a 4 hour surgery. I hope life will be a lot better after for not having to carry that around with me all the time. My pain is ok (only on occasional Painkiller) but I struggle with the itchiness a bit. I'm mega sensitive to tapes, and there may be some wound healing itchiness too where they took the drains out.

Ive come out of hospital with a bit of a new outlook. I've hated my body all of my life but I now think that it's pretty amazing. I know not everyone's body is the same in that everyone has different experiences with pain and recovery, and how their bodies deal with things. I know it's just the lucky or unlucky genetic lottery we get from birth but I've come to be thankful that my body does the hard things well. I don't do the small things well. I grew up with rashes constantly on by body, cold sores constantly invading my entire face (often stress induced)  and a constant snotty nose. They were not ideal when trying to be 'normal' through those formative years. But now I am thanking it for getting me through the hard things like child birth and surgery. I'm not sure why but it was important for me to share that here.

I do have a medical question as well. I know they released me a bit early because I was doing so well but I also know they would have kept me in longer if not so bright and independent as my drains had still collected 75ml each side in the 20 hours before they released me. What would be some signs of being released too early? I know you can't give me medical advice but just a generalised idea would be helpful.

big hugs for helping me get through this. 💜🤗

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Glad to hear reduction surgery went well for you @Teej and that it appears you are recovering well. Fingers crossed no setbacks after your early release. Thats a lot to suddenly be without Teej.  Ha ha, if I had that much removed from my bust, there would be nothing left. 😂

Im actually seeing a surgeon next week, so I too am facing imminent surgery after being recently diagnosed with breast cancer. 😕

Im sure you will notice the advantages of your surgery. Being well endowed must be a strain on ones back and everything else I imagine. Nice to hear that you have an overall appreciation though, of what you were given, bodywise.

Hi @Sans911 and thanks for your post on my thread last night. 💗
