Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

Re: Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

Hmm maybe something a little different today
Todays word/s are 'favourite things'

What are your favourite things? Is there something you can do today that associates with that favourite thing ie playing with a pet, gardening, eating an ice cream?

Do these favorites items bring you comfort in your day or help keep balance when things are tough?

Re: Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

Okay this is going to sound gross but it is true I love plucking my ingrown menopausal hair on my face. There is something really satisfying when I get one out and then show my kidults. Told you it was gross 😛

Re: Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

Hi @Bunniekins @outlander @Faith-and-Hope and all passing by

Football (round ball - the world/beautiful game Smiley Happy) is one of my favourite things.

I am going to a game with my daughter tomorrow - out local W-league team. Not doing terribly well but hope springs eternal!

Although it's not today I get good value out of the anticipation. It's good because today is looking like a hard slog.

Re: Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

Nice twist @outlander .. hmm a walk maybe?? Will allow thinking space or be an answer in itself

Re: Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

Haha @Bunniekins why do you show them?

Re: Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,  bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens ..... "

One of my favourite childhood songs (& movie).

Favourite things :

Hot chocolate on a cold night

A wood fire

A clear night sky,  to view all the stars

Music that moves me

The sun on my skin

A cool summer breeze

The smile of a baby

Genuine laughter

Honesty,  compassion, sharing

Re: Word for the Day - Comfort or Play

@TAB because it is fun to watch the expressions on their faces 😛 particularly my daughter she pulls the funniest faces when she is grossed out where as my son actually likes pulling out his own hair on his face so he is genuinely interested :).

Lyrics to Julie Andrews singing 'My Favourite Things' are glorious! It's still one of my fave movies of all time; and my adult son's too! my fave things.jpeg
