Morning All,
so in a nut shell, I have a complex past and mental health.
I look back and try and find a positive in every event, even the most hyaenas ones and there is quiet a few of those.
In many ways I think i have intellectualised healing and feeling so much, that I am not actually feeling them, so when an emotion arises, I am like a bull in a china shop, either it’s love, joy, pain or anger.
I know what I need to do, in turns of daily self care, but there is a block, stopping me to go for that swim, run or joining that group.
My therapist and I have started talking to the different parts of me, as weird as it feels, but dose any have any suggestions

Hi @0LDsoul
I'm really sorry to hear you're feeling this way right now. I just want to acknowledge the incredible self-awareness and wisdom you've cultivated around your traumas and the importance of self-care. That takes courage and a lot of inner work.
It makes so much sense that intellectualising our feelings and healing journey can be a way to create some understanding and security in the face of complex experiences.
Sometimes it feels like we're searching for solid ground in a storm.
I recently came across the concept of "healing fatigue", the deep exhaustion that can come with the never-ending path of healing. It can show up physically, emotionally, and mentally, and it sounds like this might be contributing to the block you've described in your self-care practices. That makes total sense, healing can be tiring.
It's wonderful that your'e working on parts therapy. It's such a brave and insightful modality, though I know it can feel uncomfortable at times. Embracing all parts of ourselves is big, transformative work, and you're showing up for it beautifully.
I admire your ability to find the positive even in tough situations. That strength will surely help reconnect with your inner compass as you continue on your journey.
And please remember, it's ok to pause, to rest and just be. Be gently with yourself, you're doing deep, meaningful work, and that deserves compassion and care.
Wishing you moments of peace and ease on this path.
Kindly Alisse.

@0LDsoul I relate to the thought of a bull in a China shop.
