Some oils can take weeks to dry properly @Former-Member - I have two sets - a cheaper one which dries quicker and a more expensive set that takes longer to dry - both I used on my sister's painting. I have just about run out of a couple of colours so I need to replace them before I get stuck into the peacock - might even get them over the weekend,
I hope your daughter persists with her art - it is such a wonderful outlet if one is creative.
What grade do you have next year? I don't have any idea what school I will be at or what grade I will have - it is all a bit scary but I definitely made the right decision leaving that other school.

@Zoe7 I hope that you hear what school and information about your role as soon as possible, waiting is hard. I went to a different school after my time off and it was terrifying but probably helped in some ways initially.
I'll have a upper middle primary class next year but with some high needs and disability but i know all the so makes it easier i think.

There was too much history at my preious school and rumours about my health so it is so much better that I am out of there. The waiting is hard but I am taking it day to day and doing the things I love. I can't change the waiting so living with it by not thinking about it too much until I hear something. The HR person said it would be at least the middle of January so a few more weeks to wait. It will make the turnaround to the new school difficult but there is nothing I can do about that either - it is what it is. I am hoping to have middle primary - ideally a 3/4 but a 4/5 would be okay too - both I have taught a lot so I am commfortable with the curriculum - would make the transition easier for me.
Do you have any things planned when the kids come home?

I am very much taking each day as it comes - there is a lot I want to get done around the house but there really is nothing that cannot wait ...it has all waited this long. I do hope to have my garage roof done soon - need to get onto my sister's partner and see if we can knock that off one afternoon when it is a bit cooler.
Yes the 3/4 years do align with the AC easier and I do like that age group - they are still kids that want to have fun but keen to learn also - love that combination. They start getting sidetracked by relationships and friendship issues the older they get and lost a little focus from learning - especially in year 6.
I hope the weather is nice for you and the kids and that you get to do some things together @Former-Member

Awesome to get your response and continued conversation @Former-Member. I’ll respond later but wanted to acknowledge it. I was having a self care day 🤭 but s4 has just come home to pack to go away, so I’m catching up with him (he’s been elusive lately).
Hi to @Zoe7, @Shaz51, @CheerBear, @eth, @Mazarita @Faith-and-Hope (who I can’t seem to tag for the life of me).
