Re: Just checking in.

Just checking in @Teej (hoping I'm not being annoying!).

I was sitting under a beautiful tree in a garden with lots of pretties yesterday, shading myself from some annoying hot sun and hiding from a house full of bananas. The tree is a big one, with gorgeous bright green leaves and under it is a pretty pink one flowering way later here than any of the same plant I've seen in other places. I had a lovely moment 'being' with the garden in the late the afternoon, finding some peace in the bonkers. You've seen lots of this place and here's another view as you came to mind while I was there. (Might help to add it!)

(Also, I have a feeling albums may have been tweaked and updated a bit ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ‘!)

At some stage under the tree, I was pondering and doing the looking back over the year thing that can be both great and not-so-great, feeling my way through the memories of the ups and downs (and the rollercoastery hiccups that don't fit into the up or down boxes but maybe the 'next level batty' one). I had the added fun of memories + wonky hormones as they seem to be still trying to find some normal after a very not normal few months. This wave of hormones is pretty tricky and making me feel sad in a few ways. I know you understand wonky hormones too ๐Ÿ˜

I'm looking forward to hearing from you whenever you can and would like to share, though I understand you might be busy or not up for it too. Mostly, I just wanted to say hi this morning and let you know you're thought of.

Re: Just checking in.

Hey @CheerBear,

not annoying at all, just me being very slack :face_with_rolling_eyes:. Iโ€™m also at the house I grew up in as mine is too hot today. Lots of pretties here too but not like yours. A lovely huge maple here that is over 40 years old shades most of the back yard. There is a lovely huge avocado tree as well. Wondering what the one you posted is. Is it a rose?

We we had a very full on exhausting Christmas. Christmas lunch went for 8 hours ๐Ÿ˜ฏ but was very social and everyone had a good time. I took my big to the airport this morning ๐Ÿ˜ข. It feels a bit complicated as well knowing he is travelling at a time which poses more risk than when we were growing up. I hope it works out ok ๐Ÿ™. Also still doing the mum thing and hoping he packed his epipens in case he needs it :face_with_rolling_eyes: as two of the countries are predominantly non English speaking.

So so sorry about hormones still being wonky. It really has been a wonky year. May 2019 be less wonky for you and littles.....although I know there will be a huge wonk at some point soon ๐Ÿ˜ข

Im in a headspace of trying to look forwards and not backwards currently, but not too far forwards cos then I always fall a/t ๐Ÿ˜œ. I have some small goals if the weather will let me do them while the kids are away. I was absolutely dreading them going before but am doing ok with it now.  Who passes through the best. Iโ€™m just having some chill survive the heat, not think about much time for now. Wishing everyone that passes through kind wishes. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค—

Would also love a check in from @Former-Member if she is up to it. Would love to hear what you are up to ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค—

Re: Just checking in.

Kind wishes to you too @Teej Heart

Re: Just checking in.

Yay so good to hear from you @Teej ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope the house is cool for you today. I've swapped a/c for people and am currently questioning my choices (not really but almost lol). I don't have a home I grew up in as we moved around lots so I find the idea really interesting and can imagine being there could sometimes bring up stuff, or maybe not after so many years too. Huge maple sounds beautiful ๐Ÿ’— And yep, I think it is an old fashioned rose.

Tough with your big ๐Ÿ˜• Mine are never ever ever allowed to leave to go that far away ๐Ÿ˜‰. I hope he'll stay in touch often and that he has a great time. ๐Ÿ‘with getting through Christmas and having some fun.

Great to hear you have some goals to work towards during this next little bit (crossing fingers for decent weather for all of us - it's blegh at the moment! You're getting there Teej, bit by bit! Go you โค๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’š

Re: Just checking in.

Hi @Teej and everyone,

sounds like Christmas was nice with some good times, even though exhausting! Some wonderful memories to hold onto!

Would be very scary seeing son going away so far away but so awesome for him too.. hoping you hear from him regularly while he's away!

Christmas was a quiet affair here, just me. It hasnt been hot down here like other parts of aus so been lucky in that way, hoping you're keeping as cool as possible Smiley Happy
