Re: Childhood trauma

@PeppyPatti yeah I think it is because of my trauma. Only issue is I can't afford anyone else as around me they are all expensive

Re: Childhood trauma

Dear @Matty19901

Are you 33 years old ? Is this right ?

There are free group therapy that someone was talking about that for men I heard are brilliant .

Maybe You can contact the council where you live to find out where they are or -

Find out where the carers association is and they may have the information.

I punched in this on my mobile phone --

Australia - how to find well facilitated mens groups for free

And go from there.

I have spoken to males who live in Western Australia who belong to free men's groups. In about 2 weeks I can get details of one here in Western Australia.

Let people around you live their own lives. Maybe it's time for you to care for number one -- yourself.

Re: Childhood trauma

@PeppyPatti ill do a google search and see what comes up

Other then that I've gotta try to figure out how to rebuild from this trauma

Re: Childhood trauma

There's a person here online I met a little while ago called @TAB who is quite centred and deals with past trauma --

I like your way of thinking though.

I'll see what I can do within 2 weeks, just got to see this person who can tell me the name of this free men's therapy.

Re: Childhood trauma

thanks @PeppyPatti  , bit stuck for time this morning, got to get in car and drive 3hrs to course in like 45mins time

Hi @Matty19901  and everyone. Prob on a few dift levels for me re trauma. had repetetive dreams around age 5 that suggest something sexual may have happened to me. was physically abused , well everyone was then ( late 60s early 70s) but to another level re getting whipped w garden hose for things we didnt even know were wrong til too late. got thrown out of car and made to walk home 10k s, last half in the dark for making too much noise in back seat of car. allowed to play sport if rode pushbike 20k round trip before and after and bought own gear, so didnt. then made to play sport at school, couldnt catch a ball etc , teacher in grade 4 picked up on it and started throwing a ball to me in class. last person picked at grade 6 social dance practice, had to dance w student teacher. wen to to grade 7 , in fathers borrowed shoes with tin clips tacked to toes for wear, so they got stuck in carpet on floor ha ha just always felt awkward and outside. only time left home was for school and when made to go to sunday school. used to write end of world essays starting in grade 1 how rest of family dies etc  then starting fighting in about grade 6 , prob fought 5 dift people in my class and older in year 8 while getting straight As  bla bla lo enuf for now.

Re: Childhood trauma

Thank you @Glisten  for tagging. Hi @Matty19901  I'm sorry to hear that. i can imagine how you feel in such situations. i would like to say if no one encourage you , let yourself to encourage you. make the feeling that you can do it. its nothing bad. your effort is for something good. show your dad that you can do more than what he expect. Try to focus on those , do the practice show them by your action. Don't ever put yourself down. just throw out 't' from ' can't ' . I'm sure you can do that.

Re: Childhood trauma

@Tilz thanks for the reply but I've posted recently I've made a new start and I'm doing much better stepping out of my comfort zone as well when the opportunity arises

Re: Childhood trauma

Re: Childhood trauma

@Tilz thanks its only been a day but I'm taking it as exactly that a day at a time. When opportunities arise for me to step out of my comfort zone I'm doing it.
