Thanks for your kind thoughts @Smc & @Former-Member & @Lauz - & other people's too.
Yes being on one's own is often difficult, & makes me very sad - especially at Christmas time, & on my Birthday.
When my marriage ended 9 years ago - I lost my entire social network (which wasn't large) all at once.
My relatives are all in NSW & Qld.
I cannot afford to fly to NSW, or physically & emotionally manage that a trip there - solely for the purpose of having Christmas company.
Which is what some people I know assume I can do (or will).
Especially as my Immediate family situation (& members) are associated with most of my trauma (EA, severe neglect, SA).
The Christmas thread (past years) on forums is good fun - I make good use of it when possible.
