oohh @Shaz51
Every situation is always different of course as you already know.
Your mum's health issues must also be considered.
Her specialists will be consulted i would imagine due to her kidney issues and dementia.
Anaesthetics have to be weighed up.
Main issue is trying to manage her pain levels I would think.
So very hard for you on the sidelines.
When I become so overwhelmed with what is going on in my adult son's life and the reality that there is nothing I can do other than listen to him even at times when he comes out with such hurtful things; I remind myself over and over that this is his pain; his life which I cannot live for him. I am his mum and want to take all of that away for him. He must live his life as each and everyone of us do. Not easy at all is it?
hurts so much more than words can describe as you are feeling as a daughter for your mum.
Keep on telling her that you love her and will sit with her when you can.
She will sense your presence at times.
(looking after your health first now at all times) very hard but vital.
My mum has dementia also. She is now 96.
Holding you in my thoughts and hearts Shaz.
Let those tears flow and rest if you can. Reserve your energy for you dear Shaz

Oh my friend @Shaz51 just saw that your mum has broken her right hip. I really feel for her as she must be in pain. And it’s so terribly difficult for you to see her like this. Like @Sophia1 mentioned keep telling your mum how much you love her. She will know when you’re there with her.
it’s such a hard time for you all.
Pls rest when you can - your and hubbys health is important too. Sending you all huge hugs strength and love.

Oh @Shaz51 That is not good news. I hope the doctors can work together to both make her comfortable and do what is best to help her heal. I understand your fears as she is older and frail already but your Mum is also a fighter and she has such a wonderful daughter in you by her side. Much love to your both my sister 💖💖💖

Anxiety and stress are understandable @Shaz51 but I hope Mr shaz's mood is stable and he is well in himself. I'm sorry it took so long to diagnose the fracture. My heart goes out to you and your mum. I'd send flowers if I could... cymbidium orchids are in season down here.
Please take care. How are you? It often takes a while to get over flu so please be gentle with yourself. Love to you all.
