Dear @Shaz51
Thinking of you going through so very much at a time when you need to look after your own health.
Mr Shaz; If I could talk to you I would tell you that you also are so very brave and courageous; going through so much as you struggle with your mental illness and medications.
Not easy at all.
You also worry about your darling wife and her mum. Your family. Your work.
Your symptoms are a combination of your own mental illness reacting; medication changes; pressure from life with health of family members, including your wife as well as work concerns.
You are human my friend.
People without mental illness struggle under these circumstances.
You have the added weight.
You love and care. Your mind and body respond to overload.
Please know that you are doing the very best that you can.
One day at a time my friend.
Always thinking of you when I think of my dear friend Mrs Shaz.
I hope that the letter for Mr Shaz helps you in some way also as I know that you in turn are so very worried about him.
You have health issues coming at you from every angle.
Most of them are out of your control.
I am dealing with this also. I do not even know how my 96 year old mum in the nursing home is now. Sister has stopped letting me know. I have been told to avoid contacting her as it is feeding her controlling.
I get the hard part of knowing that they are declining in health.
I tell myself that my mum is sleeping most of the time as a result of the advanced dementia and increased medication. She has digressed to when she was a young girl as I was informed briefly two months ago in a text message.
She also apparently speaks very little.
I tell myself if she is back in her childhood she is returning to happy moments of her life.
Life is very hard.
It does have moments of sheer joy when we are open to noticing them.
This is so very hard when we are weighed down with anxiety;worry;grief and much more.
I hope that your mum will be moved to the closer hospital when there is a space providing she can receive the care that she needs. In the interim they are deeming that she is getting the care that she needs where she is. Sometimes smaller hospitals do not have that capacity.
I know that you want the best for your mum Shaz.
I hope that you are open to some moments of sheer joy.
I finally got out for a walk with someone from carers and would you believe there were 1-2 dozen colourful baby parrots ahead of us which did not fly away.
How special is that.
I treasure moments like that as I believe that when we are very troubled nature brings us gifts.
Grab moments of nature with Mr Shaz when you can no matter how brief.
Love to you both on this difficult journey
love
Sophia

Thinking of you @Shaz51 and sending love. Having a hard time of late missing my girl and have an appointment next week with a new psychologist and hoping she will help me come to terms with this estrangement. Really breaks me some days and my toolbox of tricks to see those days through remains elusive. Happy this long cold windy winter is coming to an end although not looking forward to the rain that’s forecast for the east coast over the coming months. Taking one day at a time for now. 🙏❤️
