Re: Not sure what to do !!!

My dear @Shaz51  ... just caught up on all your news from the past 2 weeks since I was last here.

You honestly do so much for so many others in your life (including here) and at the same time dealing with so many of your own serious health issues. You are such a strong, resilient ... and downright wonderful ... lady.  You are one of those people who just keep getting back up and doing what they need to do in order to keep going.  I admire you so very much.  How I wish life were easier for you ... if it could (just this one time) deal you a winning hand.

Its not the end of the world to be in a situation of needing to consider dialysis and/or going on the kidney transplant list.  You knew this was coming, especially since you have been having all these kidney related issues the past few months.  But knowing ... does not make it any easier to accept once the specialist says the words.  It would have still come as a shock and accepting the inevitable will take some time to digest.  I would give you my strength, if I had any to give.  Sadly I dont.  But I do have some very good personal experiences with people who have had kidney transplants.  I had an auntie who was on dialysis for several years before finally getting a transplant.  She did really well once she had the transplant and lived to quite a good age.  That was probably 15 years ago now, and the process is constantly improving.  So that has to bode well.  I also knew a fellow that I worked with some 25 years ago, he was only in his 40's when he had a kidney transplant.  The first transplant was rejected, but because of his relatively young age he was blessed with a second transplant.  And that was highly successful.  He is now close to 70yo and is still going strong.  He lives life to the full and does not appear to have any restrictions. He is a friend of my husbands as well, so we get to see him from time to time.

I am concerned about you though Shaz, because clearly you are not well.  And you have so many caring commitments on your plate with your Mum and your Mr Shaz.  You honestly do need to start to slow down a little.  If you dont, your body will take the matter out of your hands.  Can you have another go at applying for a carers payment (for either Mr Shaz and/or your Mum) or a DSP for yourself?

Please please please Shaz ... take care.  You are important to so many in your RL and also to so many of us here.

awww so many decisions to think about

about when ??

mr shaz is just now starting to worry a bit about everything now

mum is getting 6 meals now through meals on wheels

still getting her arm redressed every second day at the hospital

when do i isolate  ourselves being self employed

is mowing still ok

cleaning , when do we stop

Re: Not sure what to do !!!

hi @Shaz51 it is troubling and worrying times.

i think with your self employment being outdoors and not in close contact with anyone, if you wear face masks and use hand sanitiser you guys should be ok, with your health conditions @Shaz51 you might need to be a little more carful and so will your mum. if it is possible maybe try to do some more hobbies maybe? mr shaz could gewt back into photography to help with his anxiety. and maybe you could get some rest over this time as you have been really busy this year.

hugs my dear friend.

thinking of you and mr shaz too

Re: Not sure what to do !!!

thank you my awesome friend @Jacques

just finding it hard to be the sole decider with everything

mr shaz says he is getting worse with everything

Re: Not sure what to do !!!

i nderstand @Shaz51 maybe your family could help with the burden, looking after your mum it is not fair you having to do it all on your own with your health problems.

do you think maybe Mr Shaz might go see his doctor about his worsening Anxiety? or his mental health team?

lots oof hugs my friend. your not alone, remember you have such amazing support here to vent and to get support
