Planet Hams news update.
Today was a good enough day. I learned how to do more and made a point of thanking my colleagues for being patient. I hung around a bit longer than I normally would so as to do my bit and this time I knew that I was actually helping get things done. I also met dad for lunch which was good.
In other news, I can say with a higher level of certainty than I would've say 3 weeks ago that I feel like I don't get treated like an outsider now. I got this vibe a few times. But now that I have been going there for 3 weeks it's like I have some degree of familiarity which is good.
I heard a few people say they would meet for beers and rather than think "thank God I am not invited" which I would've in the past, I thought that I wanted to be going too. It is still too early for that though as I'm new (ish) and making the best with a situation before me like so many other forumites are doing. Maybe the fact that I wanted to got on is an indication of just how different things are for me at a personal level here in this new area. It is funny how different people can make or break a situation.
