There's no way I would brave the horrendous traffic, to see the Australia Day fireworks here (in the city) tonight.

You can't get your car out (to leave) for over 1 hour, after the fireworks are over (the roads are so blocked)...

I used to be terrified of fireworks when I was a child. But in adulthood I have grown to love the spectacle. Not so much when one goes off around the back streets though. But I was in awe the first time I saw the fireworks in Brisbane at Riverfire.

Yes we've always had a very big fireworks display in Perth on Australia Day (night) @Shaz51

Until very recently we had no fireworks at all for New Year's Eve.

Now there are (or were) some - smaller regional displays.
