Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Member I am an oldest sister too.  Different roles.

The main thing about parenting now would be to treat it as a marathon not a sprint.

Studying can be a long term project too.

WIth the lack of security as to when or if alters appear, I cna understand you might not want to teach fulltime in the educational system, but there are still other avenues in teaching that could suit you better.  Tutoring and the hospitals and zoos employ teachers part-time ... so there are options.

Dont rush it.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Member I hear you regarding being a liability in the workplace. That's basically why I'm on the disability pension. I've had two major workplace incidents. Smiley Sad

It is SO frustrating. I know that having a job would help me so much.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Member when I get better at this crocheting thing, I would super like to make toys to donate somewhere too. Right now I don't think my creations are child-safe, I think I need to get better at stitching the parts together first. Smiley Happy

Re: BabyDragon's Den

hey baby dragon, sorry to hear you resorted to sh. i hope you're seeing a medical professional for your sh, burns are not something to mess around with as i'm sure you know.

also re teaching, you're definitely able to teach if you so desire, just maybe not right now while you're this unwell. keep trying for the disability pension, i know it's hard. i have a friend with did who works in a school library; and i was able to work in childcare with did. i believe you'll make a great teacher one day.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@OhanaSystem,
I have a GP appointment tomorrow and a psych appoint at the end of week
Done over scars from previous times so apparently will heal slowly according to hospital but I was glad to be released into my partners care instead of a psych ward

Maybe right now I use study as a distraction I've got a cert 3 in IT and a diploma in counselling now studying teaching and I also want to do childcare cert aswell it really is just more of a coping mechenisim

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Member

glad to hear you've had medical treatment for your wound/s! ❤️ and that you were released into partner's care instead of psych ward. it's never nice being on the ward and i remember you've had some experience of that.

studying's a greqat distraction if it works for you! i find it hard to study when i'm unwell so i flunked out of the diploma i was doing. i'm looking at doing a well supported cert 4 in mental health this year, though, which i should have better results with.

ok, i'm off to bed in a moment, so i hope you have a restful night and that tomorrow is a good day for you.
