Daily goals, motivation and check in

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @frog

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @eudemonism what have you got planned for today?

I have work. Need to get myself out the door.

We have stressful meetings on a Tuesday. Stressful mainly because boss has no idea and goes on an on.

Also have flu shot.

Not feeling super enthusiastic Smiley Frustrated Tired

Hope you are travelling ok, and that today is a good one.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

hi @eudemonism how are you today?

hi @frog I agree meetings are a total drag. I'm unemployed but volunteer and my boss has recently introduced bi-weekly meetings and they realkly try my patience, it's just like people like the sound of their own voice and drag the meeting on longer than it needs to be! what work do you do? it's so great you're employed.

Today I

- got up very early which is a good change

- went to training for 4 hours and even tho I was woefully disappointed & frustrated with the content I held my tongue and did not express my anger, just sat there with my head in my hands while two people who talked totally off topic & seemed to love the sound of their own voices crapped on and on and on. A year ago I would have pulled them up & asked the facilitator to "facilitate" them into silence but today I tolerated the whole thing by being quiet. Will not be signing up for any further "training" (in inverted commas 'cos I didn't learn anything practical today)  any time soon!

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Today I also

- got the bins in, carefully without hurting my back

- dealt with serious traffic to get the car washed and pertrolled ready for service in a few days

- washed my hair which for whatever reason is a major mission that I dread & loathe, so now it's done and I'll have clean hair ready for tomorrow's volunteering

- brushed my teeth, another huge mission 'cos I gotta be careful with my delicate gums, no mindless, dissociated brushing here

- made a healthy, low cholestoerol dinner

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Yesterday I did really well at volunteering, kept my cool and didn't let anyone get to me. I was able to smile a lot & be good natured, I left feeling very proud of myself. I worked hard & also got to leave early so left on a 'high' note. I think this was all possible because  I've had an increase in night meds and slept more deeply rather than waking up a lot & having bad dreams.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

yesterday

- got the car serviced

- did the washing up

- cooked up a big veggie stir-fry

today

- load of laundry

- 5km walk

- job searched

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@frogI'm thinking about some goals i been trying to achieve for awhile. Setting up/building a chicken yard/house. Buying a webber bbq. Getting a turtle/gold fish/axelottos aquarium for inside. Don't have the $$$ to make all of it happen straight away... + gotta set up my python perch made from off pipe... got all the materials just need to do the measuring cutting and screwing side of things...

@BryanaCamp  aswell

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@BryanaCamp not to bad thanks... been reading a special book as often as i can... and have been reaching out to family and friends a fair bit... me back yard neeeds some work done to it... gotta level out a area and put some grass in + I'm removing all the little scrubs/plants and bushes and just concentrating on the bigger stuff ie the elm tree. The myrtle tree. The fig trees. + a pear. And peacherine tree.

I forgot to put the bin out this week so I'm behind there. I been putting all the green waste from back yard in there little by little.

@frog also

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hey @eudemonism sounds like you've got some good goals happening, especially garden wise. I planted some parsley and mint yesterday, and although it's a small step it felt satisfying. I'm also in the position of not having the funds for what I'd like to do right now, but it will happen eventually. I'm going to make a lavendar hedge (only a little one - 8 dwarf plants for my little courtyard) and I'm chipping away at my herb garden.

I'm really spent today. Had a trainwreck of a night. Today I want to:

  • Physio exercises
  • Cook 3 things
  • Do some basic housework - washing, sweep

There's a lot of other stuff but I'm trying to be realistic. The most important thing is to get some sleep tonight.

Hello @Teej @Maggie @BryanaCamp @Shaz51 hope all's well.
