“Remember I love you”

Does anyone else find that when seeking 'support' from friends and family, they always end with some variant of "remember I/we love you"?

when I'm unwell I'm totally indifferent to anyone's feelings for me and it just makes me feel bank and flat and empty.
Should I say that I love them back? Should I say nothing at all?

@Former-Member  Hey TigerT no one wants to hurt other peoples feelings particularly when they are trying to be helpful. I would say the truth that you are unwell and appreciate their kindness but you are not in a place where you can reciprocate right now because you are just so unable to due to your illness. They will understand. greenpex

Re: “Remember I love you”

Have you ever been in that situation?
How did you cope with the flatness of emotion and lack of meaning or feeling?

Re: “Remember I love you”

@Former-Member to be honest it is several years ago now and I didnt know I was so sick at the time. I was just honest. Flatness of emotion, lack of meaning and feeling is hard going. If it is not one thing it is annother I am quite hyper atm and I get world salad alot lol. I find most people who are close to you know more than one they are letting on. Just look after yourself. That is all your loved ones would be caring about.
