Fragile

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom I only collect sticks and small branches in the bush as I donโ€™t want to take any shelter away from animals or insects etc.

I get wood from people that clear land for roads etc (I know itโ€™s development but the trees have already been felled so may as well use it for something).

Yes I often find it difficult in hairdressers because I am only interested in the practical side of getting hair cut not the โ€œbeautyโ€ side.

I live on the outskirts of a sort of regional centre. There is everything here โ€œin townโ€. But thereโ€™s more bush out where I live.

Re: Fragile

Sounds beautiful @Till23 I love that you care to make the distinction about habitat and care about where your wood comes from. I live in an outer suburb of big city in rapidly growing area.  Traffic is crazy and really changed since I moved here over 20 years ago. I try and create green spaces and corridors, though less active in that, than I used to be. I buy very little and spread and propagate what I have. My court and verges are next to a water canal and most people like that it has a calm peaceful atmosphere. My actual garden is very small, more like a unit.

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom as a custodian it is my responsibility to look after the land, water, flora and fauna of the land on which I live.

I just recently picked my last capsicum of the season and some tomatoes I still have a few more trying to ripen in the decreasing sunlight. I have an oversupply of my herbs and lemons - which I will give away or possibly swap for some eggs with my team mates. I try to buy as little as possible and recycle as much as possible.

I'm glad you also look after the land and it's inhabitants, it's sound quite nice where you are despite encroaching development.

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom It is amazing what things trigger us hey Apple ๐Ÿ˜ข I am not around much lately but wanted to pop in and send you a whole bunch of love. The connection we have had mor many, many years now is something I truly value so whilst I am not always here - you are always thought of very fondly ๐Ÿฅฐ

Re: Fragile

Had 2 Conversations with 2 different visitors about 2 deaths this week. One was a cat hit by a car, and the other was a lovely very much older sea captain.

A bit sad and triggered that I didnโ€™t get timely proper death conversations about my loved ones in my immediate family who passed, whether as a 11, 26, 35, or 55 year old. But at least I try and give what I did not get,  ( whether materially or in compassionate conversation) to the people in my life now.

Still great to see my lovely ex Beauty teacher friend. She embodies a spirited elderly lady style. Surprise visit but she has had a few surgeries latelyโ€ฆ..

@Till23 I bought a beautiful Custodian t shirt with a red kangarooโ€ฆ from yarnโ€ฆ

@Zoe7 I always love that you cared about art therapy and teaching and your fur and forum family.

hugs @Dreamy

Re: Fragile

Our forum family means a lot to me @Appleblossom - and you are very much included in that Hon ๐Ÿฅฐ

@tyme doing much better today - even got outside and did a little gardening.

Re: Fragile

Great to hear @Zoe7 .

Thinking of you. Was it sunny? I guess the sunshine helps.

It was pretty warm here. No hot Just pleasantly warm so I went for a swim... now my hair feels like straw. But I shouldn't be complaining lol

Hugs @Appleblossom @Till23 @Dimity @Dreamy . I recognise we all have our fragile moments, so I'm so glad we are here to strengthen one another.

Re: Fragile

Sunny today but not hot @tyme which made it great weather for being outside working. I had a really lovely conversation with a woman passing by this afternoon. She is staying opposite me for a few days with a relative and had been watching (not in a stalker way lol) what I had been doing and was impressed. Nice to have those unexpected moments in our lives hey.

The downside was Tobes was 'helping' me - trying to move dirt for me lol Had to give him a bath as my little white fluffball was grey ๐Ÿคช
